Acne Care Guide

Acne is a skin condition. Although more common among teenagers, many adults have acne prone skin. There are different levels of acne from the low level, relatively minor issues of whiteheads and blackheads to the painful acne cysts that create severe scarring. There is even the very serious form of acne vulgaris called Acne Conglobata that requires very aggressive care. Read more about the causes of acne.

Our Acne Care Guide. Our goal is providing acne skin care information which permits you to make well-informed acne care decisions from products to professional care. There is an avalanche of acne care products coming into the market on a daily basis and it becomes so hard trying to determine what really works and what does not. Some products will do more harm than good. It often seems there are more myths and misinformation than real facts.

Esthetician, Dermatologist or Home Regimens? There are mild forms of acne that can be handled by licensed, well-trained esthetians such as acne control and preventive facial treatments that at the same time could help with anti-aging benefits. But often the progressive more serious forms of acne must be analyzed and treated by dermatologists which are medical doctors that specialize in more invasive and potent treatments. Some very minor acne conditions and preventive approaches can be controlled with home-use products that have the necessary active ingredients that improve rather than harm the condition.

Spend some time here reading and researching. Our purpose is not to give medical advice, but to provide you with information to help you make informed decisions about what products to use, how to use those products and what professional medical or esthetician skin services are best for you.
